Taking Charge of Your Life: all aspects of life from passions to work to home to friendship. It's your dream, your future.

None of our dreams become a reality without careful planning and consideration. And few of us ever make a big a decision about our lives without speaking with our friends and family for their advice. Taking Charge of Your Life has been designed to encourage you and those people that are important to you to gather and hold conversations that will allow you to dream big, imagine new opportunities and take charge of your life.

We hope the process is straightforward.

1. SELECT A GUIDE

Pick someone you trust who can assist you in the process. This might be someone from your family or a friend, or your biggest champion. Think of this person as your own personal “Guide” who will lead you through the process. Here are a few tips to help your Guide.

2. GATHER A GROUP OF PEOPLE YOU LIKE

You can do this by yourself, but we think with more people, there will be more ideas and assistance. If you choose to do it with others, gather a small group of people who know and care for you. Three to six people would be a good size for the group. We all build on our ideas over time, so ideally you should organize three get togethers - one to two hours each to work through the nine topics.

3. WATCH THE VIDEOS AND BRAINSTORM NEW IDEAS

Taking Charge of Your Life is organized in to nine conversation topics with nine separate videos. Work through each one in order. Introduce the topic, watch the video and use our discussion questions to guide the conversation and come up with new ideas. The goal is to help you to figure out what is most important to you.

4. RECORD YOUR IDEAS

Download the “Taking Charge of Your Life Journal” to record your ideas. With all the great conversation, you won’t want to forget any ideas you come up with.

5. TAKE CHARGE

Use the ideas in your Journal to make changes that are most important to you and Take Charge of Your Life.
